BINGHAMTON (WBNG) -- Binghamton Police are now ruling Binghamton
University nursing student Haley Anderson's death a homicide after her
body was found following a welfare complaint Friday.
In a press release, police said during an autopsy conducted at Lourdes hospital, Anderson's cause of death was ruled a homicide.

Police said there is a known person of interest in the investigation, a
male nursing student enrolled at Binghamton University. Police said
that the circumstances of Anderson's death were not random or involving
the conduct of a stranger.
Authorities said the person of interest had a previous domestic/romantic relationship.
